Expression Programme Syllabus - III
Overview
The 14-Week Piano Expression course enables students to move beyond technical fluency towards expressive and artistic piano playing. Through 42 individual online lessons delivered over 14 weeks and 3 lessons a week, students refine their interpretative skills, develop stylistic awareness, and learn to communicate the musical character of each work with confidence and individuality.
Entry Requirements

Successful completion of the 16-Week Piano Fluency course or equivalent knowledge and practical ability.

Access to an acoustic piano or a digital piano with a full-size (88-key) keyboard.
Programme Content
Throughout the programme, students will develop:

Greater tonal control and sound production.

Musical phrasing and expressive shaping of melodic lines.

Stylistically appropriate interpretation of a variety of musical genres.

Advanced articulation and dynamic control.

More sophisticated pedalling techniques.

Greater independence and balance between melody and accompaniment.

Musical character, mood, and storytelling through performance.

Confident memorisation and preparation of selected repertoire.

Increased awareness of musical form and structure.

Artistic confidence through the performance of progressively demanding works.
Students will continue to strengthen their theoretical understanding by applying musical analysis directly to performance and interpretation.
