Fluency Programme Syllabus - II
Overview
The 16-Week Piano Fluency course builds upon the skills acquired in the Foundation course, enabling students to play with greater confidence, accuracy, and musical fluency. Through 48 individual online lessons delivered over 16 weeks and 3 lessons a week, students strengthen their technical ability, improve sight-reading, expand their repertoire, and develop a more natural and expressive approach to piano playing.
Entry Requirements

Successful completion of the 16-Week Piano Foundation course or equivalent knowledge and practical ability.

Access to an acoustic piano or a digital piano with a full-size (88-key) keyboard.
Programme Content
Throughout the programme, students will develop:

Greater independence, balance, and coordination between the hands.

Improved finger dexterity and technical control.

Fluency in reading music across a wider keyboard range.

Increased rhythmic accuracy and confidence with more varied rhythmic patterns.

Major and minor scales, broken chords, and technical exercises.

Chord progressions and elementary harmonisation.

Dynamic control, articulation, phrasing, and tone production.

Pedalling techniques and their musical application.

A broader and increasingly varied piano repertoire.

Musical memory and confidence in performance.
Students will continue to develop their understanding of music theory alongside practical piano study, with increasing emphasis on applying theoretical knowledge directly to performance.

Demonstrate the technical and musical proficiency required to progress to the 14-Week Piano Expression course.
